1. Introduction
SolBe Learning LLC (“SolBe,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Delaware limited liability company that operates early-childhood education and childcare facilities in Massachusetts. We currently operate two Massachusetts locations. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information of the families we serve and the visitors to our website.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website located at www.solbelearning.com (the “Site”) and through our inquiry and contact forms, how we use and protect that information, the choices you have, and the rights available to you under applicable federal and Massachusetts law. By using our Site or submitting information to us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website located at www.solbelearning.com (the “Site”) and through our inquiry and contact forms, how we use and protect that information, the choices you have, and the rights available to you under applicable federal and Massachusetts law. By using our Site or submitting information to us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
2. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect: (a) through our Site and online forms; (b) when you contact us by email, phone, or text message; and (c) in connection with inquiries about enrollment, tours, scholarships, and childcare services. This Policy does not apply to information collected offline in the course of providing childcare services to enrolled families, which is governed by our enrollment agreements and applicable education and licensing regulations, or to the practices of third parties we do not own or control.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide to Us
When you complete our “Get in Touch” inquiry form or otherwise contact us, you may provide the following categories of information:
- Parent/guardian first and last name
- Parent/guardian email address
- Parent/guardian phone number
- Child’s full name
- Child’s date of birth
- Child’s target start date and preferred schedule
- Whether Chestnut Hill Realty is your landlord (used solely to determine eligibility for community or partner benefits)
- Any additional information you include in the free-text “Message” field
- Your consent preferences, including your opt-in to receive text messages
You are not required to provide this information, but if you do not, we may be unable to respond to your inquiry, process a scholarship application, or connect you with our Head of Admissions.
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring URLs, and the dates and times of your visits. See Section 6 (Cookies and Tracking Technologies) for details and your choices.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To respond to your inquiries and provide the information you request, including details about our programs, tours, and scholarship applications
- To connect you with our Head of Admissions and communicate with you about enrollment
- To send you text messages and other communications you have requested or consented to receive
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve our Site and services
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, spam, abuse, and security incidents (including through reCAPTCHA)To comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements
5. Text Messaging (SMS) Program and Consent
If you provide your phone number and check the consent box on our form, you expressly consent to receive text (SMS) messages from SolBe Learning LLC at the mobile number you provide. These messages may include responses to your inquiry, enrollment and admissions information, appointment or tour reminders, and related program updates. The following terms apply to our SMS program:
- Consent is not a condition of purchase or enrollment. You are not required to agree to receive text messages in order to enroll a child, tour a facility, or apply for a scholarship. You may still contact us by phone or email.
- Message frequency varies. The number of messages you receive depends on your interactions with us.
- Message and data rates may apply. Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply to each message.
- Opting out. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message from us. After you send STOP, we will send one confirmation message and will not send you further marketing or program texts unless you re-subscribe.
- Help. For help, reply HELP to any message from us, or contact us using the information in Section 16.
- Carriers. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Information obtained as part of the SMS consent process is used solely to operate our text-messaging program and is not shared for any other purpose.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our Site uses cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to operate the Site, analyze traffic, secure our forms, and measure the effectiveness of our outreach. The third-party services we use include:
- Google Analytics – to understand how visitors use our Site. See the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Google reCAPTCHA – to protect our forms from spam and abuse. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel – to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to reach families who may be interested in our programs. See the Meta Privacy Policy.
- HubSpot – our customer relationship management and marketing platform, used to manage inquiries and communicate with you. See the HubSpot Privacy Policy.
These providers act as our service providers/processors and handle information on our behalf under contractual obligations. Most web browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings; however, some features of our Site may not function properly without them.
7. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it. We do not share your personal information with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share personal information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Within our company. Among SolBe Learning LLC staff and our two Massachusetts locations, on a need-to-know basis, to respond to and serve you.
- Service providers. With trusted vendors that perform services on our behalf — such as website hosting, analytics, form security, text-messaging delivery, and customer relationship management (e.g., Google, Meta, and HubSpot) — who are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of SolBe, our families, or others, or to comply with child-safety and licensing obligations.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to the protections of this Policy.
8. How We Protect Your Information
We maintain a Written Information Security Program and implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, consistent with the Massachusetts data-security regulations (201 CMR 17.00). These safeguards include access controls, encryption of sensitive data where appropriate, staff training, vendor oversight, and secure disposal practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to respond to your inquiries, to maintain our relationship with your family, and to comply with our legal, tax, licensing, and recordkeeping obligations. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or de-identify it.
10. Children’s Privacy
Our Site and forms are directed to parents, guardians, and adults — not to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13 through the Site. Information about a child (such as a child’s name, date of birth, and preferred schedule) is provided to us voluntarily by the parent or guardian who completes our form, for the purpose of responding to an enrollment inquiry.
Consistent with the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), if we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information directly to us online without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without your consent, please contact us using the information in Section 16, and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
11. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
You may exercise the following choices at any time:
- Access and correction: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Deletion: request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Communications opt-out: unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message, or reply STOP to opt out of text messages.
To make a request, contact us using the information in Section 16. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these choices. Massachusetts has enacted comprehensive consumer privacy legislation that, once it takes full effect, may expand these rights; we will update this Policy and our practices as required by that law and by any other applicable state or federal privacy law.
12. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach involving personal information as defined under Massachusetts law (M.G.L. c. 93H), we will notify affected Massachusetts residents and the appropriate state authorities — including the Office of the Attorney General and the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation — as soon as practicable and without unreasonable delay, in accordance with the requirements of that law.
13. Third-Party Websites and Links
Our Site may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not operate or control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
14. “Do Not Track” Signals
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. Because there is no common industry standard for interpreting DNT signals, our Site does not currently respond to them. We will honor recognized opt-out preference signals to the extent required by applicable law.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
